For several years I have been trying to find the parents and siblings of my gggggrandfather Thomas Jarvis. A National Archives document shows him apprenticed as a cordwainer to a William Buller in 1743 at Armscott,near Tredington which was then in Worcestershire with his fathers name given as Thomas also. >From this information and that held on apprenticeships it seems that Thomas would have been born between 1722 and 1729. Although it is known that he married, established a cordwainer business,raised a family and died at Ebrington in Gloucestershire, several searches in that county have found nothing. Although some information has been found on his descendents in South Warwickshire searches there have again found nothing. I have now found a record showing the christening of a Thomas Jarvis at All Saints Church,Evesham 23rd October,1687. Can anyone suggest how I can best follow this up. I would also like to hear from anyone researching Jarvis. Any help/guidance much appreciated. Regards.
