Hi Listers I've been doing some research on my NOTT family, including my 3GGF, William, who unfortunately for research purposes, married Hannah JONES, 1807, in Worcester. Even though their names have been tousled by various enumerators, I managed to find that William and Hannah were i/c of The Fox Inn, Bransford Bridge, William until he died in 1843 then Hannah until she died in 1852. Their daughter, Charlotte, who married James SIMMS, took over. This couple had no children, but adopted Charlotte's niece, Charlotte Rosannah, whose parents and three brothers died when she was about six. Charlotte's other brother, William, and his wife, died in 1848 and 1850 respectively, leaving five orphan children. Charlotte died in 1886 and niece, Charlotte R with her husband, John EABORN, ran the pub at least until 1891. I'd now love to find out more about 3GGM, Hannah [JONES], but where to start? I think she was born in Alfrick, about 1780, but there are so many possibilities, not least of which is that Hannah is interchangeable with Ann and Nancy. Has anyone seeking JONESes any hints to offer, please? Kind regards Joy
