Hello List I have relatives on the 1891 census. living in Cardiff. They appear as GARTONIA DEBONS and ALICE DEBONS, however their correct surname was DEBONO. He was 50 and born in MALTA, Alice WAS 33 and born in BRISTOL. Could SKS advise me on how to search the 1901. I have tried numerous combinations without success. I don't know which resource you are using for the 1901 but if you can do so, try searching on Alice (no surname), 43 and Bristol to see if that will find her. Gartonia is liable to be hopelessly mistranscribed. Otherwise have a look on www.freebmd.org.uk or www.familyrelatives.com for their deaths between 1891 and 1901. Familyrelatives is indexed to 1920.
