Hi all With reference to Merrivale when the crown gate shopping centre was constructed the yard to the rear of Broad st and adjacent to the centres service exit ramp was known as Merryvale ( still is ) this is accessable off the Deansway opposite the Church, Powick Lane is the walkway off Deansway between huntington Hall and What was Beatties so the Glovers Arms was in the area between the 2. Thanks for this Bill. My last visit to the centre of Worcester being in the 60s and not being in the area now I had to look up Crowngate and I found a map on their website. I doubt if many of my family's haunts exist now!
