Hello, I am trying to trace the family of James Hatton who in the census post his marriage in 1856 was shown as born in either Abbots Morton or Pershore. There is an entry in IGI of a baptism at Abbots Morton, 10/8/1835, to John and Elizabeth Hatton (no reference or other details are shown). Certainly nobody matching those birth details is shown in the 1841 or 1851 census. There is however a family at Bidford (just across the border) which contains a James Hatton who matches baptism of him and siblings in Bidford (batch C039871) and is shown in the 1841 and 1851 census, parents again John and Elizabeth (the father had died before 1851). I wonder if SKS has access to Abbots Morton baptisms and could confirm an entry. I suspect that if these were the same family that the Abbots Morton baptism may have been a private one and confirmed publicly 1 month later at Bidford. Any help would be very much appreciated.
