Hi I'm trying to trace information about my great grandfather - Horace BAILEY. He was born in 1898, Birmingham, Warwickshire. But owing to various reasons, his birth was never registered. He had a brother (John/Jack), sister (Winifred) and younger half brother who was quite a bit younger. When Horace, Jack and Winifred were quite young, their mother died and they were sent to live an 'Aunty Annie' prior to being sent to a school in Malvern for the children of serving military personnel, because their father was in the military (not sure how/where). Is there anyway of looking at the school records of the early 1900's to see if this is true and to give me a clue on who the mother of Horace, Jack and Winifred is and so on. Roz ps i have already checked with Malvern College and they didn't go there
Hi Roz The first question to ask is, have you found the family in the 1901 census. Whatever you do next will depend on what you find there.
