Hi! I'm coming back into the loop after an absence of several years because I have come up against a 'Stone' wall! I am researching the Stone family (-ies) of Bushley. I had believed the Robert Stone, who settled there after he married Elizabeth George at Bushley in 1775, was the first of the 5 generations of Bushley Stones in my ancestry but I have since found others who pre-date his arrival. Mary, daughter of Francis and Ann Stone, was christened at Bushley on 13 August, 1721, many years before Robert's arrival. I cannot find any trace of Francis and Ann in Worcestershire but, as Bushley is only a Stone's throw from the River Severn, they may have been blow-ins from Gloucestershire. I know that there was a clutch of Stones at Deerhurst, only about 9 miles away across the border. Does anyone have any information on a possible connection? Bill Stone
