    3. Hi Allen, A word of warning! You can't always believe an age at death. Remember that the person in question is then in no situation to put the record straight. I ordered the death certificate of my great grandfather Henry Williams secure in the knowledge that the age at death was correct, but I received the cert for another Henry. I then noticed that my Henry's age at the previous census made him seem younger so I then discovered the correct death registration which had a similar inconsistency. As a general rule I would believe an early census record rather than an age at death, so I wouldn't rule someone out because of an apparent 2 year difference in age. Hope this helps. Viv From: "Allen Cook" <[email protected]> > However I believe Albert and Alice's ages have >been swapped! Alice was 69 in 1946 when she died. This would make her 24 in > 1901. and possibly Albert died in 1937 age 63 which would make him 26/7 in > 1901. Therefore in 1891 Alice would have been 14 and Albert would have been > 16 which rules out both people that you found.
