Hi I'm trying to trace information about Robert WILMER. So far my only success has been the 1901 census where he is aged 29 and workng as an engine driver on a switch back owned by Thomas CLARKE on Corporation Street, Kidderminster. It seems to be part of a fair or exhibition as there is also a shooting saloon next door. Going back to the 1881 census, Thomas Clarke is running a roundabout at the cattle market in Kidderminster, again with the shooting saloon next door. However, no sign of Robert WILMER. The census refs. are RG13/2766/123/16 and RG12/2315/43/12. If any one has more information about the switch back, or about Robert WILMER I would be very grateful. Peter
