Hi Please can anyone help? I have the surname HAYFIELD in my Birmingham family tree, with the first name Austin in at least two generations (John G Austin, John C Austin). I have found an Austin Hayfield birth registration in 1878 (Upton) and am trying to make a connection hoping his family later moved to Birmingham. But, I can find no Austin Hayfield in the 1881, 1891 or 1901 census - and no death registration either. I have however found a John Austin Hayfield marrying in Birmingham in 1900 (to Lucy Mary Haynes). I was hoping I could find out his place of birth on the 1901 census - but no sign of him either!
