Hi everyone, I'm currently researching some of my family that came from Dudley, Worcester in the 1800's. The names I'm mostly researching are OWEN and NICKLIN, in particular... - George Henry OWEN b. 1868 (not to be confused with the George Owen born in 1869 who I have his birth cert but it's the wrong family!) - Reuben OWEN - George's father - not sure of his year of birth, but somwhere bt 1848-1950 (seem to have inconclusive dates from various census etc) - I do know that he died in 1887 (have GRO info for it) - Annie SWIFT - Reuben's wife - I found the marriage cert bt Reuban and Annie - took a while since they were married in 1870 - and their son was born in 1868. Surprised a bit by that.... - Annie NICKLIN - married George Henry Owen (above) - this is where I may need some assistance...the 1881 census says she was born in 1866, in Dudley. Her marriage cert to George in 1888 says she was 22 (george, otoh, was 20), so that also leads me to believe she was born in 1866. however, I cannot find her on familysearch or Freebmd, even when I expand the search to include all the county. The 1891 census shows her and george and her age on that makes out to a 1867 year of birth...same with the 1901 census. The only Ann(ie) Nicklin I can find was born either in 1864 or 1873. - James NICKLIN - Annie's father - I think he was born in 1838, but his death reg shows him dying in 1905 at age 65, so the years don't quite match up. - Caroline MILLICHIP - Jame's wife....pretty sure I have her birth and death info and have the reg info on their marriage in 1858. George Henry OWEN and Annie NICKLIN were my great grandmother, Emily Caroline's, parents. Emily Caroline married to PROVAN from Scotland. sharon
