Dear members A forebearer of mine Robert WOODWARD was married by licence on 2nd March 1800 to Esther PAIN in presence of Thomas PAINE and someone with an indecipherable name. I am trying to locate Robert's birthplace/baptism since this was not Feckenham (according to parish records I searched) although at wedding both were 'of this parish' and sons Henry (1801) and Richard (1804) were born in Feckenham. At around the same time located in Feckenham (although I found no marriage records) were: Robert and Alice WOODWARD who had offspring baptised in Feckenham between 1776 and 1798; and John and Sarah WOODWARD who had offspring baptised in Feckenham between 1788 and 1801. There was also a William WOODWARD married to Rebecca STRAIN in Feckenham on 5th November 1789 with offspring between 1790 and 1795. Any ideas about how I might proceed would be most welcome.
