I can't find much about the early years of this school on the web. I have the headmistress Miss Sarah Ann Garner (who is in my tree) on the 1851 census living in Blockhouse. By 1853 she had married the Rev John Jones a missionary from the London Missionary School, and they left England to serve in The Loyalty Islands, Polynesia. >From records I have seen about the life of Sarah, it says she had charge of 300 pupils at St Pauls. Is there a history of this school anywhere?
