Just to say that I have been in touch with the Staffordshire Record Office and they confirmed that they have this record, so will be ordering it along with baptisms of three male siblings, all born Dudley Worcester but baptized/christened at Wombourne Staffs. If all four of these fellows, particularly Joseph Aston Perkes (presumably given his mother's maiden name Aston) and Charles (who turns up in some notes of another family member) have the same father, then it looks as though am on the right track. So again, thank you so much for this good advice!
