Hi Listers The reason I have given you no other information on this is because I don't really have much, only thoughts with no proof. This is what i know. Both Thomas' (Butchers) are listed in a will (one as executor) written by the brother (Joseph Bury, whose birth I can't find somewhere in the late 1700's, a farmer and land owner between Belbroughton and Chaddesley Corbett) of my fourth great grandfather (John Bury a butcher from Chaddesley Corbett and later Kinver). I have proved the relationship between John and Joseph through legal documents at Worcester Record Office. My suspicion is that Josephs brother John may be the John who married Mary Spilsbury at Stoke Prior in 1795 on the IGI and Thomas spilsbury Snr could be a brother of Mary. To have been an executor of a considerable estate would have implied great trust and maybe a family connection. The IGI throws quite a few options up for Thomas and Mary Spilsburys, but with no further information I was hoping someone may recognise the family. It is all rather complex and if correct would mean that John Bury would have been married twice as he married Elizabeth Watkins at Wolverley in 1802. I hope this throws light on my thinking but I know does not really help much. Regards Mark
