Hi Folks, Touching up against my tree are some EADES girls. I was wondering if anyone has worked out if they are related to each other. * Phoebe EADES born in Tardebigge in 1740 who married John MANNING in 1763 * Harriet EADES born in 1829 in Bromsgrove, daughter of Joseph EADES and Ann WILLIAMS. She was murdered by her daughter Sarah Ann BROOMFIELD in 1901 behind The Crabmill pub. * Charlotte EADES, born 1822 in Bromsgrove, daughter of James and Mary. Charlotte married Joseph PEARCY in 1841 and was murdered by a "deranged Frenchman" at Lickey End in the early 1890s. Cheers Mike Yegwart
I, too, have a couple of Eades "girls", and wonder if there are any other Eades researchers out there who have them in there tree and can tell me more than the little information I have. First, Rebecca Eades (my four greats grandmother) married Thomas Tranter on 28 April 1771 in Clent. There is a baptism for a Rebecca Eades in Clent in 1745 (parents Joseph and Sarah) but I haven't been able to confirm whether this is the same Rebecca. Second, Winifred Eades, (my five greats grandmother on a different line) born about 1706, married William Hedges of Belbroughton by licence at St. Helen's, Worcester, on 14 February 1736. She may (or may not, of course) be the same Winifred Eades who married Constantine Musgrove (a soldier) at Upton Warren in 1730 and may herself have been born in Upton Warren, as were some of her children. I have no definite information about their parentage or any siblings and I've often wondered if they were connected in any way though I'm aware that Eades is a fairly common surname in the Bromsgrove/Belbroughton area. I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone has one of my grandmas in their tree.
