    3. Hi Lyn, Thanks for confirming the parents of Charlotte. Do a Google search for "Charlotte PEARCEY", keeping the quote marks and add Bromsgrove. You should get six hits. The Truecrimelibrary site give a good summary. An on-line newspaper gives a possible family contact and the RootsChat link gives some discussions I had on that board in 2005. The perpetrator was caught, described as a mad Frenchman, and hung at Worcester. That's about all I have. 3. Hi Mike, I take it you're referring Aime MEUNIER who was extradited [presumably from France] for "the murder of an old woman", and executed at Worcester on 19 July 1893... [per < http://www.ivanlea.net/sub_pages/executions.htm >] But he wasn't hung.... Gibbetting had been abolished many years beforehand - he was hanged, and as far as I'm aware buried [without prior dissection beyond the usual post mortem] within the old County Gaol premises. 3. Hi Gus, Ah, the subtleties of the English language. I stand corrected - if that's allowed. LOL Yes it was Aime MEUNIER, wrongly sexed as a woman in some articles.
