    3. Richard Poole, I was exceedingly interested to read your reply to David Potter about your gggmother, Elizabeth Hinton, chr Ribbesford 4 Apr 1819. My wife, Sheila Allen, nee Oakes has a second great grandmother, Elizabeth Hinton, chr Ribbesford 4 Jan 1791. Elizabeth married Benjamin Oakes on 14 Dec 1815. The 1841 census shows that Elizabeth was a shopkeeper in Bewdley. Are our two Elizabeths mother and daughter? If you have a line of Hintons I would love to see it. 3. Good morning Brian, I'm certain I've seen the Oakes surname in my guff but I cant find it at the mo. Below, I'll give you what I have. I have noted down that your Elizabeth Hinton chr. 4 Jan 1791 at Ribbesford is the daughter of John and Mary Hinton. As I couldn't see an immediate tie, I didn't note down an earlier marriage of these last two. In my lot, my family history is likely to be: 24 July 1781 Edward Hinton marr. Sarah Allin at Kidd', 2 Oct 1782 William Hinton chr. son of Edward and Sarah at Kidd', 22 Jan 1787 Elizabeth Weaver chr. dau. of Joseph and Hannah Weaver at Kidd', 8 Feb 1808 William Hinton marr. Elizabeth Weaver at Kidd', 4 Apr 1819 Elizabeth Hinton chr. dau. of William, a shoemaker and Elizabeth Hinton at Ribbesford. A related 1841 census is (my comments are in brackets): Tontine Row, Stourport. Silvia Taylor, 50, Yes (nee Weaver, marr John Taylor 20 Apr 1820 Kidd'); Elizabeth Hinton, 20, Yes (age 22yrs); John Hinton 4, Yes (Elizabeth's son probably). Another 1841 census: 373 Coal's Quay, Bewdley. William Hinton, 55, shoemaker, Yes (Elizabeth's father); Edwin Hinton, 15, tailor, Yes (Elizabeth's brother Edward ?). Another 1841 census: Load St, Bewdley. William Hinton, 25, tailor, Yes (Elizabeth's brother); Mary Ann Hinton, 25 (nee Humpherson?); Emily Hinton, 7 months (chr. 27 Dec 1840 Ribb). The 1881 census High St, Stourport: John Hinton, H, 44, Chemist, born Bewdley; Fanny Hinton, W, 44 (nee Ransom Simons); William R. son, 14, born Stourport; Harry E. son, 12, born Stourport; Amy M. dau, 10, born Stourport; Guy C. son, 4, born Stourport. As I said above, the comments in brackets are mine. If this is of any relevance, I hope you can untangle it. Richard. -----Original Message----- Subject: [WOR] Elizabeth HINTONs Richard Poole, I was exceedingly interested to read your reply to David Potter about your gggmother, Elizabeth Hinton, chr Ribbesford 4 Apr 1819.
