    3. I cannot relate to your other variations. My link to Caswell is as follows: My gggmother (Elizabeth Hinton, chr, Ribbesford 4 Apr 1819) had a sister, Sylvia who married Thomas Caswell 7 Feb 1837 at Kidd'. I couldn't find any children for them. The Hintons were tailors and shoe makers from Bewdley. From the 1861 census, Thomas and Sylvia Caswell had the Hope and Anchor Inn in New St, Stourport. Elizabeth Hinton, above, married Isaac Purser. In the 1901 census, Charles James Purser (ex- butcher, as were his parents) ran the Hope and Anchor. In the 1891 census, Sylvia, a widow was looking after some of my grandfathers' sisters, some of the 14 children! -----Original Message----- Richard Can you expand on the Caswell line. I have an interest in Caswell/Calwell/Caldwell/Colwell name from the Astley/Stourport area. Regards Dave Potter
