Gus - well, you've certainly given me plenty to (re)think about! Yes, you are right - I have taken a guess at Henry's year of birth and I also did believe that the 1841 census was correct on this occasion with regard to the relationship between Nathaniel/Letitia and William - mainly because of their ages. I really hadn't identified the fact that William just might have spent the night with Nathaniel/Letitia rather than be living with them permanently. I will be visiting the History Centre in town and will recheck the parish registers, marriage index and wills, etc. On the National Archives website I have just found an extract from the records of the Kidderminster Union for 9th December 1848 which shows that William had been in the House approx. one month which would mean that he had to have been living with someone else as Letitia died in October 1845 and her husband, Nathaniel in April, 1847 (in the workhouse). I will also contact County Hall to see if any further records exist which might help. Once again, many thanks. Sue
