    1. [WOR] Berrow's Worcester Journal online.

    3. The British Library's 19th Century Newspapers project (2nd release) has added Berrow's Worcester Journal (1822-1896) to its collection. This is a subscription website at http://newspapers.bl.uk/blcs/ unless your local library has it. I have a Birmingham Library card and I can access the site free from home (as well as much more good stuff). Just this week I've found full reports of 2 bankruptcy hearings involving my ancestors and the report of an 1852 court case involving larceny and assault resulting in imprisonment of one of my wife's ancestors. 3. Hi I have been in touch with Worcestershire County Council Library service about getting this as part of their online service but after investigation they say they can't afford the fee Gale want as there is very little demand for it (I been the only person to ask). So it will not be available to local people. 2. Incidentally All being well I should have part of my 18th Century Berrow's Collection digitalized at some point 1756 - 1790's (with large gaps of course !) and if that goes well I may seek to add early 19th century material as well Best Regards Richard H -------------------------------------------------- From: "Roger Jones" <ziksby@gmail.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 21, 2010 11:20 AM To: "Worcester List" <ENG-WORCESTER@rootsweb.com> Subject: [WOR] Berrow's Worcester Journal online. > The British Library's 19th Century Newspapers project (2nd release) has > added Berrow's Worcester Journal (1822-1896) to its collection.
