Hi Guy, Have you tried the parish chest records? I can't tell whether you've searched through the actual parish registers so I don't know if you're getting these baptisms off indexes and not following up in the PRs although you may have gone through them. If you haven't then I suggest trying all the different places where the children were baptized. Some of them may have died as infants before civil registration. If the father died then Thomas may have been apprenticed out and there might be an apprenticeship record for him. If the family was poor there might be mention of them in the churchwardens accounts or the overseers of the poor accounts. The parish chest records contain these types of records but sometimes they contain a lot and sometimes very little. At least it's worth a try.
