Paxie, I presume you've seen the Kelsey family tree on Rootsweb and have contacted the author Nicholas. http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=kelsey_families&id=I9690 Unfortunately, like you, he only gets back to 1806 and John Kelsey. The problem seems to be lack of IGI records for Broadwas. Looking on the Hugh Wallis site you find only one christening batch C021171 covering 1612-1700. It contains 219 records but no Kelsey's. My first move would be to get at map and look in surrounding parishes. I would also use the Family Search Library Resource Catalogue and search for place name Broadwas, to see if records exist in another form. Failing that, you might get some clues by looking at all Kelsey families in Worcester in 1841 census. Admittedly it doesn't give birthplace, and John's parents would be aged 60+, but you might find some elderly individuals or even potential siblings or cousins of John that could provide clues. As a wildcard, try a search at Google for Kelsey, Broadwas. Peter in Sydney
