Hi Folks, My HANDS (HANNES, HANS, HANNE, HANNON etc) came from Yardley and close by. In the 16th century Roger HANS (HANDS) was the first of many baptisms in Kings Norton. There has been no direct link found in the parish registers, however, I'm now looking for associations with god parents, wills, etc. The family in Yardley were high status yeomen, so it is likely that marriages and god parents would be of similar social standing. A number of surnames occur over time in both localities. SWIFT, SWYFT KETTELL, KETTEL, KETTLE, KETTYLL SPAWRYE, SPARRIE And probably others. Would anyone any information, at all, that links both localities prior to the 16th century, please contact me?
