Sorry if this is a dumb question but it's a long time since I obtained one. I want the death certificate of Emma Hoskins Died 31st May 1927 67 Years Trafalgar Cottage Bockleton Buried Rochford Churcyhard I have e mailed Tenbury register office but received no response. It's not easy to get to somewhere where they have the GRO registers so that I can get the reference which is why I tried the Registrar. Has any one any clues? Don't mind using an agent but again don't know how to find one. TIA ----------------------------------------- Email provided by http://www.ntlhome.com/
I am hoping someone can solve this puzzle for me. I have come accross an EMMA BLADON born at Kidderminster around 1845. On the 1881 census she is staying with one of 'my' Bladon's (Margaret Theodora daughter of William) at Oxon Cheshire and is described as Cousin. Emma's son is listed as nephew. I sent for Emmas marriage certificate and she married Joseph WORRALL in 1874 at Plemstall Cheshire giving her father as Thomas Bladon. William had no brother called Thomas and I can't find one to fit anywhere. Wi.lliam was born at Tardebigge son of Edward who was the gamekeeper. He fo a strange reason moved to Chester at the same time as Emma. He married at Chester in 1850 and lived at Marchwiel Denbigh. Emma is on the 1851 census in Chester bording with a William and Margaret Gee, 1861 in Wrexham workhouse, 1871 at Lower Kidleston as a servant. He age varies but she always gives Kidderminster as he birth palce. Has anyone any suggestions for finding he parentage? There dosn't seem to be a birth under Bladon or varients. Helena Coney nee Bladon
Hi, Could anyone help me in finding my great grandmother's death certificate? Her name was Julia Ann Lawrence married to Richard Kendrick. She was born about 1842 in Berrow, Worcester and died 5 Dec 1895 in Berrow, Worcester, England. Her parents were James Lawrence and Ester Berrow. TIA Gwen Gray
Is anyone researching John Insull who married in Dudley in March Q 1847? > Shirley
Angela, I've looked on the 1851 Worcs transcription and there's no Charles Farr anywhere like the right age, the only one is born 1848, son of John. The closest I can get to any of them is an Elizabeth age 16, servant born Droitwich, in Droitwich. Not knowing Dodderhill, thought I'd let you know in case it could be close. Sorry! Maybe they'll turn up just when you least expect them! Vivien
It's me again. Just to let anyone who might have connections with Gloucestershire that the galleries for Ashchurch, Deerhurst and Odda's Chapel, Deerhurst have been updated with the new style galleries. In addition Chaceley has just been added but it may take an hour or so for the search index to be updated. I will try and get Staunton uploaded later tonight and then concentrate on Worcs tomorrow and try and shift some of the back log of photos. BFN Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk
Hi list I am still trying to locate the missing Farrs from my tree and wondered whether anyone out there is searching for this family too? The information I have is... Edward Farr (b 1801) in Worcester married Ann(e) Probert (born Radnorshire 1795) in 1824 at St Peters Glasbury by licence. I think that they must have returned to Worcester as they had at least 3 children baptised there - Henry in 1825, Mary Ann in 1826 both at Claines and Elizabeth in 1836 at Dodderhill. The one that I am trying to locate is their son CHARLES who was born circa 1825-30 Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone - I hope so because I have been searching for Charles birth date and place for years...He is my biggest brickwall! If anyone has access to either a 1841/51 census or an index to it I would be very grateful if they could have a look and see if this family turns up on it somewhere in Worcester. Many many thanks in advance. Angie
Hi: Does anyone have ready access to Monumental Inscriptions for Alvechurch? If so, I'd be grateful to know if there are any instances of BERESFORD, SHAKLE or MILLS or any variants of these there. Thanks in advance Paul Prescott
Hi All Good news ... nothing on the telly so managed to get Hanley Castle uploaded as well. Photos are of inside and outside the church. I have photographed the graves but need more time for those as there are hundreds of them :( I'll try and get some others up tomorrow possibly during the day. BFN Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk
Hello All Just a quick note to tell you all that Powick has now been added to the site. The update only adds pictures of the church this time as there are over 200 graves that I need to sort out and add descriptions to so it will take me a little longer to get that done. As a side note, I photographed St Augustine's in Droitwich today plus most of the graves although there are still a few to do. If your searching for Pumfrey, Harris, Amphlett, Bourne or Greaves/Graves then there will be something for you! And I finally found some of my own ... yippee :)) All the best Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk

Hi all I recently bought a book "Memories of Dudley" and there is a picture of GRAINGER & SMITH'S ATHLETIC CLUB, A TEAM, 1909 - 1910. Does any one know anything about the club or who some of those in the picture may be? My ancestors are Grainger's and several of them went on to play professional football. I wondered if some of these in the picture may be my ancestors. Thanks for any help here. Jean
Hello All Just to let everyone know that the update to the galleries is now complete. Each gallery now has a slide show and the ability to save just the photo to your computers. To save a photo when viewing the large picture click the button that says "Load Photo In New Window" and then save the photo either by clicking the icon if using IE or choosing save as from File menu. New parishes will now be added over the next few days these will include Peopleton, Pinvin, Knightwick, Hanley Castle, Pendock, Longdon, Powick, St John Bedwardine, Grimley and a few for Whittington but I didn't have a good day the day I took those photos 'cause firstly the sun was in the wrong position for the church and secondly after a few graves I went and fell down one! There was a large gaping hole at the side all covered with grass so I couldn't see it and there I was bumbling around and whoosh ... down I go ... twisted my knee so I decided to give it up as a bad job that day and headed home for a warm bath and a glass of whiskey (medicinal you understand!). Hope you enjoy the new galleries ... any problems let me know. Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk If you want a parish photographed add it to the wish list in the parishmouse forum.

Hi John Thanks for replying. I think I'll try it and see how it goes. So over the weekend I'll update the site with the new style galleries so everyone will be able to save a copy of the pictures. So if anyone gets an error when viewing a gallery wait for a few minutes and try again because I am probably updating that parish. Also don't forget to refresh your browsers so they show the new stuff and not the cached version. During the update the following parishes will be added: Knightwick Pinvin Peopleton Powick Whittington These will be followed by Pendock Hanley Castle Longdon Graves will then be added on an ongoing basis as there are over 800 to do :( BFN Sally On 28 May 2005, at 06:28, john richardson wrote: > Hello Sally, > > A slideshow would be ideal. Hello Sally, A slideshow would be ideal. Members could extract what they wanted to save, whilst having an attractiveseries to look through and label if necessary. Great work you are doing. Hello All In an effort to try an improve Parishmouse it would be helpful to know whether an ability to open a copy of just the photo so that it can be saved to disk would be on peoples wish list. The copy would be about the same size as the large photo in the gallery. Also do you find the comments boxes a good idea or would you prefer a simple gallery or perhaps one with a slideshow that can be stopped where you want? It would be really helpful if you can spare a few moments and let me know what is wanted as I would like to get the site as good and easy to use as possible for everyone so you can enjoy the photos and hopefully they will add a little something to your research and family files. Many thanks for your time Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk
