    3. Hi Lee, Here are three possibilities for Joseph in 1901-- assuming he was born around the same time as Eveline. The full census info on the first two, would perhaps help if you knew something about his parents to help distinguish. Joseph Walker 4 War Birmingham Birmingham Aston Joseph Walker 2 Birmingham Birmingham Aston Joe Walker 11 Warwick Birmingham Staffordshire Ogley Hay I hope this is some help. 2. Wythall Index
    3. Hi Lee It might help if we had a bit more information. On Joseph and Eveline marriage certificate it will give an idea of his age and also his fathers name. If you have not got his marriage certificate you need to get it. You might then be able to find him in the 1901 census. 3. Earl Do you have a location in Worcestershire ?? I have checked the index and cannot locate a John and Ann Gibbons, do you know where ohn eas born !? Helen New Zealand -----Original Message----- From: Earl Chapman [mailto:earl.chapman@sympatico.ca] Sent: Monday, 8 August 2005 9:03 a.m. To: ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [WOR] Gibbons Family in 1851 Census Hi, I'm looking for John and Ann GIBBONS in the Worcestershire 1851 census. John would be about 36, and Ann about 33. At the time of the 1861 census, John was employed as a "chandiler maker journeyman." They should show up with son, John, 12; and son, Thomas, 4. I also suspect that John and Ann married in Worcestershire sometime about 1838. Ann (surname unknown) gave Worcester as her place of birth in both the 1861 and 1871 Census, but for some strange reason, she gave "Water Orton, Worcester" as her place of birth in the 1881 Census. Strange because Water Orton is in Warwickshire! In 1891 she gave her place of birth as Birmingham. Quite confusing. Ann has been one of my brick walls for many years. Any help greatly appreciated. 3. Hi all, I have the following family on the 1861 Census. Under Parish it gives "Vessels". On the enumerator's sheet the vessel is given as "Comus". Name, Birth Year, Birthplace, Relationship, Civil Parish, County Charles Cratchley, 1826, Stroudwater Gloucestershire, Master, Vessels, Worcestershire Charles Cratchley, 1849, Gloucestershire, Masters Son, Vessels, Worcestershire Mary Ann Cratchley, 1826, Gloucestershire, Masters Wife, Vessels, Worcestershire Thomas Cratchley, 1854, Gloucestershire, Masters Son, Vessels, Worcestershire Charles Cratchley (snr) was my gt gt gt uncle. Does anyone have any ideas about the vessel? Would it have been a narrowboat on the canal or perhaps a larger vessel on the river? I have not as yet been able to trace this branch of the family any further. Any ideas much appreciated. Tony Hunt Stockton-on-Tees. 3. Hello Sheila, You don't say *where* you've looked - which would've been a great help to anyone trying to help you... "Bromsgrove" is both a Town and a Registration District that included some 50 possible places where they might have married, some of which aren't/won't be on any site. And an approximate date doesn't help either :-( Gus ----- Original Message ----- From: <SPICKIN@aol.com> To: <ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 06, 2005 12:47 PM Subject: [WOR] Marriage Lists for Harris(on)-Smith > Can anyone help me by suggesting where now to look for a Bromsgrove marriage > between an Emma Harris(on) and Thomas Smith c. 1874. The remaining graves will be photographed soon. Also recently photographed were the graves for Stoke Prior. Still about half yet to be photographed as there are rather a lot of them ... to many to do in one go. Good hunting Sally www.parishmouse.co.uk

A Sarah GUMMY married a James THOMAS (believed to be my GtGtGtGt Grandfather) on 25 February 1793 in Kingswinford, Worcester (UK). They had a number of children and I would like to try and trace any descendants and/or ancestors. The Thomas' were closely linked, later, with St Thomas' Church, Dudley.
