Good Evening All New to this list but I have just had a break through (so excited) and have found my Ancestor came from Worcester name of Thomas CHESLETT christened 19 Dec 1802 at St Helen, Worcester his parents were Henry CHESLETT and Arabella ? Can anyone tell me if he had any brothers or sisters? Where did Henry and Arabella get married? Is St Helen church still there? Infact anything would be appreciated. Thanks Lynne S Aust
Does anyone have access to information for Dudley records? I am looking for William Turner, possibly a miner, born about 1819 in Dudley. I would be grateful for any info at all. Thank you. Mary Flynn.
Hello Lynne, St helen's church is still there - and until about 4 years ago was the Worcester Records Office... If you can wait until around the middle of next week I can look at Worcester History Centre ("Son of St Helens") at the WOR Marriages Index in case Henry CHESLETT and Arabella married in the County - and also at the indexed St Helens Registers for any other CHESLETTs. But let me know by Monday morning (UK time) that you've not had any other offers. G'day Clare, I've checked the Worcs 1851 & Ancestry 1861 censuses but I can't find a Selina Lane born in Worcs with father William. There's a Selina on the 1861 but she was born in Surrey & father William is a papermaker. Regards from Malcolm Platt-Grigg. Hi I'm new to this list and hoping that somebody out there can help me with one of my brick walls. I'm trying to find a Selina LANE bn during the 1840's in Worcester. Her father is a William LANE, coal dealer. I think I may have found him and his wife on the 1841 census, but need to find them on the 1851 or 1861 with Selina in order to prove it. Is there some kind person out there who has access to these who might be willing to do a look up for me? Many thanks Clare
Julie, I have Henry Stinton, son of Thomas & Mary Stinton, christened at St Nicholas, Worcester in 1800. His siblings, also christened at St Nicholas were: Thomas (1791), Jane (1793), John (1795), Mary Ann (1796) and Charles (1802). Are any of these names familiar to you?
