Hi - Previous advice from the lister's has opened my eyes and helped me move forward and up the steep learning curve. I am working on the James Hellard b.1803 family from Ashbrittle in Devon who settled at South Wraxall, near Bradford, Wilts. I seem to have gone as far as I can? I've now checked out John Hellard b. c1799 from Ashbrittle, Christened there on 25/11/1798, son of William Hellard and Mary ?. I can see that James was on 19/10/1830 Wiltshire Qtr Sessions Calendars (Devizes Old Prison)? That John on 18/10/1831, 03/02/1832 and 17/10/1843 Wiltshire Qtr Session Calendars - "Parish South Wraxall" for the first 2 and Newton Toney for the third. (what ever that may mean)?. I notice that on the 1851 census children Anne and Walter where born at South Wraxall but John is recorded as a Farmer at Ramsbury and Newton Toney on subsequent censuses. It would be nice to prove they were brothers. I could then link both families together. Is there a piece of information out there I should find? TIA Jim North Les Arcs France
