    3. I'd like to throw my 'possibles' out to the list for suggestions! From the will of Joseph WHEELER in 1817, I have a list of his son William (Baptised Dilton 1766) and Hester WHEELER's surviving children in Dilton Marsh. They are Joseph, James, William, Ann (HAYNES), Mary and Sarah (still a minor in 1817). William Jnr is my gg grandfather. I now have three William WHEELER's married to a Hester... William to Hester TRIMBY, both of Dilton in 1792 at Dilton; William from Westbury to Hester WILLIAMS in 1788 at Corsley Somerset, just over the border; and William of Rode to Hester WALKER in 1784 at Rode Somerset, also just over the border. Summing them up... There's too many overlapping children baptised at Dilton to all be WHEELER/TRIMBY, which made it obvious there's another William and Hester... and the 'other' family is likely to be mine, as WHEELER/TRIMBY married after my oldest confirmed child was born. I've confirmed James 1792, Ann 1793, William Feb OR July 1796, Mary 1798. I'm still missing Joseph and Sarah. The 'extra' children were John 1793, William Feb OR July 1796, and Betty 1798. There are some gaps in the children of WHEELER/WALKER baptised at Rode where the 'extra' children at Dilton 'could' fit, but not a lot to confirm this was the case. Any info on their children Ann 1786, Thomas 1787, Samuel 1794, Daniel 1795, Anna 1799, Fanny 1801, James 1803 gratefully accepted. I have a newspaper article of a William WHEELER who died in a boxing match at Dilton in 1812. He had 11 children, and his wife was dead by then. Could this be the same one? Geographically and chronologically, the WHEELER/WILLIAMS marriage in Corsley is very well worth while my following up! Any children born to this marriage would be very gratefully accepted, especially if there's a son named Joseph, and not many others! Any suggestions of ways I may be able to sort them out? These are worse than the James and Sarah BURGE families, I only had two of them to separate! I'm hoping that the William WHEELER's will turn out to be cousins down the track as well. Val
