Can find no trace on my trusty multimap.com but found this in the archives: In the NGSQ article "English Ancestry of George Yate (c.1640-1691) of "Maryland" by John G. Hunt it says that Dorothy Stephens (dau. of Nicholas Stephens of Bouldthorpe and 2nd wife of Thomas Yate) was herself a descendant of John Yate of Lyford. Does anybody know how? I have is Nicholas Stephens of Bouldthorpe, Wiltshire, England, b. c.1560. I have Dorothy's birth date as Dec 16, 1582 in Steventon, Berkshire, England or c.1580 in Bouldthorpe, Wiltshire, England.
