    3. Hi David. Ann and Alexander have been recorded as both HAINES, and HAYNES. HAINES on their wedding, and HAYNES in Ann's grandfather Joseph's will. The 1851 census tss on fiche also has them as "HAINE?" although there were many question marks on the page and it looks like it was hard to read. . Both were recorded as OTP when they married, but I've just checked on the 1851 census - which has Alexander's birthplace as Corsley, he was 63 at the time. We're looking at a HAINES/HAYNES family there in 1788, with at least Alexander moving from Corsley to Dilton by 1813. With Rodden and Westbury both being closer to Corsley than they are to each other - they could be from either one! (They're 2 and 3.5 miles respectively from Corsley, 4.7 miles from each other). I reckon it's very likely that they are the same family anyway a generation or so back, with only the local spelling in the PR making the difference at that time. Is it possible they ALL came from Corsley originally? Is your Ann w/o Alexander? That might make them HAINSes of Rodden rather than HAYNES/HAINESes of Westbury.
