Has anyone come across Kettlety records in this area? I have collected a few but have been unable to identify William's parents. Some records indicate he was born 1810. William also gave Bristol as a location of birth.His parents may have been William or John Kettlety, soldier and Ann.His death certificate does not clarify his parents. I have his details from 1830 as he was transported to NSW, Australia for stealing.He was tried in Worcester 1829.His occupation in records is listed as tailor and this was his trade in NSW. Is there an online site for checking Kettlety soldiers within this time frame? There were a few Kettletys listed in Devizes gaol records and I have those details but have no way of connecting them to William although I think it likely they were related. These include James Kettlety born about 1796 and John Kettlety born about 1808/9.There is also a Sarah Kittlety who offended in 1821. I also have a baptism record for Maria Kittlety, daughter of William Kittlety and Anna Maria baptised at Holt, 10 June 1810. I have been wondering if she was William Kettlety's sister. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Julie
