I have a book called the "Woodward Family Album" which states that JOSEPH REEVES(REEVE)was born Dec. 28 1802 in BROAD TOWN, so it seems this is Joseph's baptism you found! Thank you. JOSEPH and his wife SOPHIA WOODWARD and children came to Canada in 1845 and settled in Norfolk County, Ontario. I have a partial of the 1852 Charlotteville, Ontario Census and it does list a SHADRACH REEVES, b. England, age 40, Laborer. Shadrach is listed alone and seems to be single with no family. This could be Joseph's brother. There is also an "ABEDNEGO" Reeves, b. England, age 30, Laborer with wife Fanny, 32, Eliza, 7 and Thomas, 5. I checked the 1841 England Census and there is a Shadrach Rowe (if you look at the original document it is "Reeves"), age 30, listed in the Civil Parish of Wroughton, Wiltshire. He is listed alone there. I am curious about the term "Manor Boy" too. I have checked the internet and no definition comes up. Delia, are there any other children listed for LEVI and JOANNA Reeve? I do have the Christenings of Joseph's children but not the birth dates: Christenings: EDWIN (1826), AMRAM (1828), HAVILAH (1830), ANN (1831), PHINEAS (1833), JULIA 1835), ELIZABETH SOPHIA (1837), HENRY PAUL (1840), WILLIAM HUGH (1845) and EMMA (1845). I DO NOT have the christening or birth date of their daughter, MARGARET Reeves (Reeve). One source I have has Margaret born after Elizabeth, Sophia, abt. 1838. In the 1852 Charlottevile, Ontario Census though, Margaret is listed as "Margaret Reeves, age 24, Widow with son Thomas, age 1". If this is correct, Margaret would have been born abt. 1827. Would it be possible to check for Margaret's birth or christening? Thanks a billion. I appreciate any help. Anne
