There may have been others who had died, emigrated or got lost in the 'creative' indexing of the census Do you have any other information which would help to narrow the field, such as whether he was married in England, when he emigrated etc. Dot John Adlam's first child was born in Kingston, Ontario in 1834, so he probably emigrated by 1830 and married shortly after (so any John Adlams in the 1841 census cannot be him). I believe he married in Ontario since his wife was born in Ireland. I checked your database and noticed an Isaac who had a son William born in 1809. Do you know if this Isaac had any other children?
