Hi Mike - there is a PYKE family with these names in Great Somerford in 1861. Children listed as born Startley. Still there in 1871 - parents Henry and Charlotte. Henry PYKE may have married Charlotte PORTER 1847 registered Malmesbury. Hope that helps. Hello Patsy. Thank you. I never thought of PYKE!! Will look a bit further into that and see if Henry is one of ours (PIKE) who changed his name for some reason but I am dubous he is connected.
