John Charles Alexander joined the Royal Fusilers in the Crimean War and stayed in the armed services until he moved to Canada in the 1860s with his wife and children... although they lived in Aldershot during the 1861 census. Family stories say he had a brother name Thomas who was a Wiltshire policeman, a sister named Fanny and his father may have been named William. Any assistance in connecting my g-g-grandfather with WIltshire ancestors would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
