The best plan is to go to: http://www.historicaldirectories.org/ This is the main page for the comprehensive project of the University of Leicester which covers directories from 1750. Regarding GILES, from my 1930 Pigot's I have: Under Nobility, Gentry and Clergy James GILES Gent., Ash Walk Is he one of yours?
