Hi there, I am new to the list, trying to get something (parents or anything) on a Samuel BRACHER, what I have so far is thus: Samuel BRACHER buried at Fovant in 1831 aged 63 years. Last known residence of his descendants "The Manor House" Fovant Samuel was married to Elizabeth SHARPE she died btw 1803 & 1808 and was buried at Tisbury. Samuel might have had a sister or sister in law Mary BRACHER & a brother William BRACHER. Known children of Samuel & Elizabeth were Daniel BRACHER 1798-1844. Charles Sharpe BRACHER 1801-1866 Married Mary MARSH. Herbert BRACHER (possibly) 1802-1838. Sarah BRACHER 1804- Married John Harding HAYDEN. Samuel was a farmer. Other names ascotiated with Samuel are: WATERS (Durnford) LOCKE (Wylye) COLLIER (posibly) Wylye-London ? TROUTBECK (Fovant) OLLYER (Sherfield & Fovant) I was born in Cheshire but there is a Cheshire connection to Samuel's wife Elizabeth SHARPE. Samuel was mentioned a lot in a will I have along with a John NICHOLSON of Basford (Barford? St. Martin. Some of the connected LOCKE family are buried at the Church at Wylye. I have only a limited geographical knowledge of Wiltshire! so please excuse. Any leads at all would be very much appreiciated I have most of the stuff from the "Fovant" website already. Many thanks. Lawrence OLLIER
Lawrence Sorry, I cannot help you re:the under, but during my researching of my BLANCHARD, BURTON, LAWRENCE ancestors in Tisbury, Wilts, I have come across a Lawrence BURTON married a Anna BRACHER 5-10-1749 in Tisbury, Bracher is an uncommon name, and I wonder if this Anna could slip into your tree?
