Can anyone please tell me where the PR's for Christ Church Anglican and St Denys Anglican in Warminster (1700's) would be held? Is there anyone who has records for these churches that are actually PR's and not Bishops Transcripts please as I have a question about a spelling and possible gender error. Many thanks, Dorothy, Calgary, Canada
Dorothy Sorry, cannot help you re the Church PR's, but, if you are curious as the a Christian name and sex of an ancestor, bear in mind that some Christian names could be given to male or female, I have just verified that a many 'great' Grandmother was given the name of Denis, not dennis or Denise but "Denis". If you look up Family Search International catalogue on the net you should be able to locate a film no which can then be ordered thru your local Latter Day Sts FHC. Alt. you could try the County Record Office - (guess its Wiltshire). Just enter Wilt record office in your search address box or go to "Google". You never know there may be some parish registers on a web site.
