Facts: Richard LAWRENCE, son of Richard and Ann Lawrence, born in Goatacre, was baptized in Hilmarton, Wilts, on November 27th., 1774. Surmises: [The following events and descendants may just refer to a different Richard Lawrence] An I.G.I. submitted statement reports the marriage, in Lyneham parish, on June 23rd., 1803, of Richard LAWRENCE and Sarah TUCKER - this marriage is NOT recorded in the Lyneham BT film. This Richard farmed in Preston, in the parish of Lyneham, where he was a yeoman. Richard Lawrence of Preston, aged 73 years, was buried in Lyneham on February 15th., 1840; the will of Richard Lawrence, gentleman of Lyneham (National Archives) was prepared in 1825 and proved on May 2nd., 1840 (prob 11 / 1927); Richard and Sarah had issue.
