    3. Re: HULBERT/LOCKERHAM Thank you, Rod You are a star! I am grateful to you. I am researching these families for a friend who does not have internet access. I can't find any trace of Elizabeth's marriage on the internet but it was probably not in Figheldean, nor were the baptisms. Best wishes Alick Lavers in Torquay. Jacob was a husbandman. There are no burials nor baptisms recorded in the parish for Lockerham. John Hall, his wife Elizabeth Hill and children Louisa (born 6.4.1836) and Elizabeth arrived Port Adelaide, South Australia on 10 June 1840 on the Orleana from London. Two sons may also have accompanied them but the names are unknown. John Hall married Elizabeth Hill on 13 May 1827 at St James Church, Trowbridge (IGI). It is understood that Elizabeth was from Trowbridge (born 1805-10) but no trace of John Hall's birth can be found. My John Hall was born in 1803 at North Hinksey, Berkshireand may later have lived at Langford, Oxfordshire which is not a huge distance from Trowbridge, even in those far-off days. Can anyone provide information on who was the John Hall that married Elizabeth Hill? Even if the information ruled out my John Hall, that would be an advance. Any information on the Hill family would also be appreciated. Best wishes to all, Ross of Canberra. ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Mon, 22 Dec 2008 05:21:11 -0800 (PST) From: STUART WRIGHT <[email protected]> Subject: [ENG-WILTSHIRE] Edward BRYANT Marriage abt 1690 Lacock To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii I am looking for the surname of the wife of Edward BRYANT who married "Elizabeth" possibly at Lacock in about 1690. So far the IGI has been really helpful in all the other BRYANT family line at Lacock, but not Elizabeth the wife of Edward. Their first child was Christened John BRYANT on 18 March 1692, at Lacock. Any help gratefully accepted Thanks and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and the Best for 2009. So many of my Malmesbury family were in Glos in the 18th Century, only about 20 miles away and some of them shuttled between Brinkworth and North Nibley. There are some really good transcriptions out there.
