When Robert PRIOR (b c 1776) married Mary PIKE in Malmesbury in 1845 the marriage certificate states that he was a widower. The 1851 census has him as a Chelsea Pensioner(which might be a curse) living in Gastons Lane Malmesbury. In 1841 he is living with Joseph & Eliz BISHOP in Church Street with no wife there. There is a PRIOR death in Malmesbury which might help, Mary 1838 age 53 (b c 1775). My request is to see if there is a marriage Robert PRIOR to Mary UNKNOWN in Malmesbury sometime after about 1796.
