Sarah Ann PRIOR was born in 1850 in Malmesbury. Her parents died before 1860 and in 1861 she was visiting a great uncle, David, in Abingdon. Her younger brother, Walter (b 1847), was living with their uncle William in Silver Street, Malmesbury. Her elder brother, John Tandy PRIOR (b 1846) is totally missing from 1851 on. Is anyone able to find a marriage for Sarah Ann and then the census for her from 1871 on, please? Is anyone able to find Walter in 1871, please? I have him from 1881 on, he was a boot & shoe maker. John, almost certainly the Tandy was 'dropped', was a seafarer and so may have "missed" every census from 1861 on. I would be grateful if anyone was able to find him in any census. Thank you Mike
Mike did they die before 1851?? or just the father, Robert? The Chelsea Pensioner, did Mary remarry? And why did someone write out her age and make her 75 and not the 25 originally written. Gosh they like keeping life interesting!!
