New to this mail list. Interested in William Rutter and wife Barbara in Fonthill Gifford around 1800s. Apparently they had 2 children christened there. They then appear again at Fisherton Anger, Salisbury between 1811 and 1818 where a further 4 children were christened. Interested in finding out who Barbara was, when they married, did they come from Fonthill Gifford or just passing through. Where were they between 1803 and 1811 I found that a John Rutter wrote about Fonthill Abbey, was he related to William. Also interest in the Poore family who lived in Salisbury. Thomas Poore from WInchester Street became Town crier and then City Beadle around 1860. Any information on the Poore family welcomed please, also town criers and beadles of Salisbury. Bernard Bond
