Hi, I am researching a JOHN FORD born around 1818 in Collingbourne in Wilts. He married a MARIA who was born in 1821 in Welton, Wilts. I can not find a marriage for them or their census returns for 1841 and 1851 and 1861. Nor have I been able to find out the names of JOHN's parents. Is there anyone who can help me to trace them? I would be very gratefull. They went at sometime to Hackney, London to live as I have found them on the 1871 census but obviously do not know when they went. Regards and Thanks Gill

How sure are you about the Maria part? I saw a nice one but his wife was not Maria <G> many of my people have two names and I find them using others in almost alternate census. Are you being to picky about place of birth?
