Hi Martin and Patsy Thank you so much for helping with this. I have sent for a marriage certificate of Frances Mary BROAD and a Bertram Havelock. I do not know if he changed his name by Deed Poll or just decided to change it for the heck of it. I do remember an aunt once saying that Roy said the other one (Browning) was more of a father to him that his own. So maybe Frances Mary Broad re-married. I'll have a search for her as Browning.
