Dear Lynne, I can not help you with the family info but I can answer your question " I do not know Wiltshire and am not sure if Lugershall would be anywhere near Milston ". If you go to the online gazetteer at http://www.genuki.org.uk/cgi-bin/gaz and type in Ludgershall, you can then click on the place name under 'Place Entry' and then scroll down below the new map to check how far Ludgershall is from other places under the heading " How far away is xxx ". Click that link and in the new box, type Milston and enter. It will come back and tell you that " Milston, Wiltshire [SU163452] is 7.2 miles (11.6 Km) WSW of Ludgershall, Wiltshire [SU264509]. This is measured directly between the two points 'as the crow flies' ignoring any geographical features such as rivers or hills. " Hope this helps (from another Queenslander!!) I have found the baptisms of most of his children in Milston. What I do know is as follows: >From the 1841 Census he was born in Wiltshire about 1772. He was living in Brigmerston at the time of the Census. He died there and was buried in St Marys Milston in 1849. He married MARY possibly around 1799 to 1800 but I am not sure if they married in Milston as it is possible their first child was born elsewhere. I have the baptisms and burials for Milston and there is a burial for an Edmund Perrot but no baptism. The first child born to Henry and Mary in Milston was Sarah in 1802. Edmund was born about 1801. There is also no baptism for Henry in Milston. I have found the following baptism - Henry Perrett - Parents Thomas Perrett and Ann Lansley or Lancely in Lugershall on Jun 30, 1776. Henry and Mary did name two of their children Thomas and Ann. Unfortunately being in Australia, I do not know Wiltshire and am not sure if Lugershall would be anywhere near Milston. I was wondering if anyone could possibly find any other baptism for Henry Perrott or a marriage to a Mary around 1800. I am a member of the P*rr*tt Society which is where I found the Lugershall baptism.
