Hi Jim, Thanks so much for responding to my query regarding James and Grace ISLEY. Now I am really confused! A few years back, I had someone in Trowbridge researching my Wiltshire ISLEY folks for me and she gave me the following info, and I've always wondered about these facts! Grace Pryer ISLEY died February 1843 - the bell tolled for her on February 25, 1843 and she was buried in St James Churchyard. And then according to James ISLEY's probate document (Jacob ISLEY, his son, was executor) James died on February 24, 1851. Isn't that a strange coincidence? And now you tell me he didn't live to see 1851. Could someone gotten confused over when the parents died? Our local LDS Family History Center here in Ft Myers closed a few years back so I can't order films anymore. I would appreciate any help you can give me and hopefully you will solve my mystery when you get to visit the graveyards. BTW, Simon ISLEY is really SIMEON ISLEY. And there's a few of them, just to drive me insane. There's also several James, William, Jacob, Edward (boatloads of them) and Henry floating around. I never knew there were so many ISLEYs. Your revelation rocks the basis of my ISLEY family tree, but certainly, it's something that needs to be addressed. I've just started looking for another researcher in Wiltshire so now I really have to get cracking with this project. Again, thanks so much for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.
