I am new to this list and am hoping for any information about the BRYANT family who were in Great Wishford in the 19th Century. Have found them on Census records and have manged to find what seems to be two distinct families. I am trying to link these families but without much success. I have George (1826) son of James (1791) in my line. There is also George (1831) son of John (1809) , son of William (1773). Any help or suggestions of sources for further research would be appreciated, Thanks David Thomas

Hi David, I don't believe I can help you with your particular BRYANT search; but similar to yourself, I am trying to locate the birth and ancestry of a Robert BRYANT who was my GGGrandfather. All I know is that he was living in Bristol at the time of the 1841 Census where he is recorded as born c1814 'not in county'. Unfortunately, he didn't live to the 1851 census where I might have got his actual place of birth. As part of your BRYANT research, if you should stumble across such a person, I'd love to hear from you. I could then fill you in on his descendents. Regards, Don Bryant
