Hello Listers, I am new to the Eng-Wiltshire list, but have been a member of other rootsweb lists for a number of years. I am currently looking at the DERHAM family of Easton Royal, Pewsey, Wiltshire. Sarah Ann DERHAM (nee PAYNE) was the sister of my great-grandfather, Sydney PAYNE. She was born in 1850 in Temple Cloud, Cameley, Somerset. The marriage of Sarah Ann PAYNE and John DERHAM was registered in the June quarter of 1881 in London. I have 1891 census information for this couple, when they were living at Clee St. Margaret, Shropshire and 1901 and 1911 census information for them and their daughter, Elsie, when they were living at Easton Royal, Wiltshire. At the time of the 1901 census, Sarah, 40, John, 44, and their daughter 8-year-old daughter Elsie were living in Easton Royal. Sarah's birthplace was Temple Cloud. John's birthplace was Pimlico, London and his occupation was schoolmaster for a Church of England school. Elsie's birthplace was Bristol, Gloucestershire. The 1911 census shows that the DERHAM family was still in Easton Royal. John DERHAM, 54, was Head Teacher of a County Council Elementary School. No occupation was listed for Sarah Ann DERHAM, 50, while Elsie A. DERHAM, 18, was a milliner. Does anyone have any links with or any further information about this DERHAM family, please?
